Come join us for this Twilight Talk and farm field trip, presented by Rick Crofford, owner of Berry Simple Farm. Rick enjoys farming by keeping it simple, keeping it fresh, focusing on only a few crops and making his produce the best available. Rick also works full-time for VDOT as the Culpeper Environmental Manager. He will share his experiences on his part-time farming lifestyle, and particularly how to grow potatoes, incorporating integrative pest management practices. He will also discuss extending the growing season by using hoop houses.

This free program will be held walking around the garden and in the hoop house. If you prefer to sit down at any time during the event, please feel free to bring your own chair. The talk will be held rain or shine.
